Elite Dangerous - NPC Vocalizer download links.  An archive link will be available for every version of the software ever released.

This software was developed for Windows 10.  It should run on both 32bit and 64bit systems.  It will likely run on other versions of Windows, but this has not been tested. I don't know how Elite Dangerous outputs log files in non-English languages.  If your log files are in any language other than English, this app isn't going to work for you.

UPDATE:  Version 1.2 changes the way messages are searched and should now allow the use of languages other than English.  The responses are still in English, but at least the app can now read log files from other languages.


EXPECTATIONS:

Please don't inundate me with "the app didn't say such and such a message" complaints.  I have no idea how many messages are in the game, as a whole, and I've had to mine the 350+ responses included from my gameplay sessions and the log files of others.  The app will never be a replacement for Frontier Developments doing this internally.  I'm just trying to add some atmosphere to the game. I hope everyone understands that.


IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Version 1.2 and beyond requires that Windows Media Player be installed on your system to function.  The ActiveX controls that facilitate the playing of MP3 audio are installed with WMP.

THIRD PARTY VOICE PACKS:

Peter Hudson, aka CMDR Dogwood_Ivy Voice Pack:

This is a very large pack of varied voices created with the Google WaveNet text2speech service.  This pack uses a custom mp3 naming convention, so using this pack will disable the default voices included with the application.  The download clocks in at 1.1GB.

CMDR K Voice Pack:

This is a high quality add on voice personally voiced by CMDR K.  It contains a custom audio list and around 700 responses.  This pack is 100% compatible with the default voice list. The download clocks in at 17mb.
